We all know that we should be trying to live our lives in a more environmentally friendly way, from the way we run our home, to the way we drive. In the past those drivers who wanted a sports car found it difficult to be more eco friendly as options were very limited, this is no longer a problem. There are some excellent options for those who want the thrill of a sports car but also want to do their bit for the environment.

The Velozzi is a hybrid electric car. Many experts describe the car as environmentally friendly, marketable and desirable and it is easy to see why. With the capability of hitting speeds of up to 200mph and going from 0-60 in just 3 seconds, the performance of the car is unquestionable. It is eco-friendly because you can use any of the normal alternative fuels on the market today including biodiesel, methanol and gas.

As an Italian car, the Velozzi design team clearly used some ideas from the classic Italian cars and looking carefully does give you a sense of Ferrari. An environmentally friendly car that has, great performance and stylish looks makes the Velozzi a winner in many drivers’ eyes.

One of the most popular electric cars on the market today is the Tesla Roadster which, since Lotus had a hand in making it, you know you are going to drive a great car. The design of the car is a major selling point but it is not just its looks that make it an attractive prospect for potential sports car buyers. Going from 0-60 in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 125mph (which is electronically set) you have yourself an excellent car.

One of the major selling points of the Roadster is that is can travel around 220 miles on just one battery charge. The Tesla Roadster has been selling well and there is no sign that this is likely to slow making the Tesla Roadster a great overall choice for anyone looking to buy an eco-friendly sports car.

Another car you may want to consider is the Lightning GT, as it is British made the designers took ideas from some of the leading British sports cars. Performance of the car is impressive too as it can hit speeds of up to 130mph and goes from 0-60 in 4 seconds. Like the Roadster one battery charge can take you a long way as you should have no problem travelling 250 miles without worrying about having to recharge it.

If you are looking for an eco-friendly car then consider a form of car finance as there are some great deals on car credit and more online.

Hybrids are hot nowadays. Hybrid cars use 2 engine, one for the traditional fuel, while the other uses the energy from a rechargeable battery. The recent years had car manufacturers scrambling to rollout a entire spectrum of hybrid Cars from the most popular brands to the more obscure. What then is or guarantee that we are protected from too much hype, instead of an honest advertising?

Hybrid Cars according to Consumer Reports.

There are many hybrid cars information available, especially on their features, engine specifications, designs, colors and much other dizzying information. Information from the manufacturer’s website are also good source of needed preliminary knowledge n hybrid cars. But such sites are good for information gathering, and much more comparison activities should be done before buying your hybrid cars.

The Pros. “These hybrid systems have been very reliable,” declares David Champion, senior director of Consumer Reports’ auto test center, influential consumer survey. This center, collects individual consumer reports on hybrid cars, and uses the statistics to come up with a talk paper. It also accords “awards” to car with the best review report. However, some automobile experts and analysts have criticized the hybrid car powertrain, as flamboyant in that two engines are being used for one purpose. Consumer Reports on the other hand, disagreed. Champion explained that the electric motor adds power to the engine. Prior to the award proper, Consumer Report conducts a testing, by applying some actual expectations of consumers to Hybrid Cars. The Accord hybrid for instance, achieved superior fuel efficiency unsurpassed by its conventional counterparts.

The Cons. But as in other endeavor, consumer reports on hybrid cars also impartially advises from a different perspective. An alternative consumer view from the same center posed the question: “Considering a hybrid car? Don’t rush out to the dealership just yet.” The center asserts that they are not against the protection of environment and it also insisted that they are supportive for burning less fossil fuel. Their concerns, essentially stems from some financial experts arguments that hybrid drivers may be paying a higher price for an automobile that offers marginally better fuel efficiency than the other economy cars already on the road.

These are but only few of the literature that deals with consumer reports on hybrid cars. It is, ultimately, depends on the consumer, to peruse on many information regarding hybrid cars.

Hybrid cars are the cars with the newest technologies that discussed by many people in automotive world. Called hybrids because these cars use two types of energy sources, that is gasoline and electricity. To be used, a car must meet several requirements. First, the mileage must be at least 300 miles, or 482 km before the energy recharged, so, this will not bother the driver. Second, the refueling can be done with ease and quickly. Third, the car must be as quick as other vehicles on the road so as will not impede traffic.

Gasoline cars that we use right now can meet all these requirements, but produce the excessive pollution. While the electric-powered car has almost no pollution at all, but it only can travel the maximum distance of 50 Km for each recharge. Moreover, the process of recharge is very slow and not easy. But hybrid car combines the both advantages.

The world has long dreamed of environmentally friendly cars. A car which is free carbon emissions so as it will not aggravate the global warming. Then, this dream turned into an urgent need due to the fuel price is skyrocketing. The cars that fueled by hydrogen or alcohol still need the time for developing; hybrids may be the most widely marketed because it does not require the new infrastructure.

With the hybrid technology, car engine that works with gasoline can be reduced. The energy that needed to run a car can also be obtained from the electric motor which is contained therein. Hybrid Cars are also designed in order to work with minimum energy. The smaller car engines automatically make the overall weight of the car to be lighter. This makes the car requires less energy when running. The body of this car is also designed with aerodynamic models that cause the air friction can be reduced. Thus, the use of fuel can be reduced.

With a variety of advanced technology, it’s not wonder if the cost of hybrid cars is little bit expensive. At first, you actually have to spend more money to buy a hybrid car but then you can save more money.

If you can’t afford to buy this modern technology, there are ways of drive to save fuel, even with a conventional car. For example is driving slower, because when you accelerate the pace of the car, it causes the air friction on the car will increase rapidly. This makes the car so wasteful of gasoline.

The constant speed is also more fuel efficient, why? Because every time you accelerate the pace of the car, it uses more energy, however when you decrease the speed again, it also uses more energy. By repeatedly change the speed; the energy that used is twice wasteful than if you drive with constant velocity.

One more important thing is do not suddenly stop. When you suddenly stop the car, the brakes work hard to absorb the speed of the car instantaneously, and turn it into heat then discard it out. That means you spend the unnecessary energy.

With a hybrid car or not, you can reduce the air pollution and save energy right now. It depends on your willingness and attitude every day.

My name is Rangga Cipta Diputra from Indonesia. Recently I am so worry about this planet (Earth) due to global warming. There are so many articles provide information about Hybrid cars, but I hope my article’s useful for everyone.
