The 2008 Tahoe Hybrid is a 4-door, 9-passenger sport-utility, available in two trims, the 1HY 2WD and the 1HY 4WD. Upon introduction, the 1HY 2WD is equipped with a standard 6.0-liter, V8, 332-horsepower, hybrid engine that achieves 21-mpg in the city and 22-mpg on the highway.

Yea almost no highway MPG improvement, but the combined and city MPG is just as high as the highway MPG. You won’t get too much better MPG’s, but I’d say hybrids are excellent for city driving, quick commutes, when doing lots of left and right turns, idling, and excessive stops and go’s.
